Rubber Track Tread Patterns by Machine Type:

TREAD PATTERNS AT A GLANCE

Rubbertrax, Inc. offers a variety of tread patterns.

  • The staggered (block) pad design creates a highly versatile track with good balance and traction. The design also minimizes vibration by putting more rubber on the traveling surface which spreads the weight load while increasing floatation.
  • The c-shaped pattern provides more of an aggressive bite than the staggered pad. It has optimal floatation and traction with better results on hills and slopes.
  • The straight bar tread pattern is the most aggressive. The track has great results in mud and snow. It is used in applications where traction is much more important than the ground left behind and the operator can take a beating.
  • The new Zig Zag pattern has been a preference among John Deere and JCB track loader operators. The feedback has been a smooth ride with optimal wear on hard surfaces such as asphalt (which we never recommend).
  • The Turf-Friendly tread pattern is now available in many of the common compact track loader models. Limited availability so please call for details.

COMPACT TRACK LOADER TREAD PATTERNS

Takeuchi Track Loader Rubber Track Block Tread Pattern

Takeuchi Track Loader Staggered Block Tread Pattern

This is the Staggered Block Tread Pattern for Takeuchi Compact Track Loaders. It is by far the most popular track loader tread pattern we sell. This tread pattern is available for almost every Takeuchi track loader including:

takeuchi guide system

Takeuchi Track Guiding System

The Takeuchi guide system has raised steel through the guiding system. As the bottom rollers and rear idler roller travel on the outside guide of the rubber track it is a steel on steel solid surface that will not get damaged such as a slice from rebar or any other debris running through the guide. The disadvantage is a slightly rougher ride on the operator.

Bobcat Track Loader Rubber Track Tread Pattern

Bobcat Type Staggered Block Tread Pattern

This is the Staggered Block Tread Pattern for Bobcat, Kubota, and Komatsu Compact Track Loaders. It is by far the most popular track loader tread pattern we sell. This tread pattern is available for almost every track loader including:

Bobcat guide system

Standard CTL Guiding System

The Bobcat style guide system is shared among most compact track loader designs including Kubota SVL, John Deere CT, Caterpillar, and now the Takeuchi TL12 v2 design. Unlike the Takeuchi guide system, the Bobcat-style system has hardened rubber on the outside of the guide where the roller runs on the track. The rubber guide system can get cut by debris but it is hardened for long-lasting operation and is slightly easier on the operator compared to the steel on steel guiding system. Most of the rollers for this guiding system are triple flange style but the center flange is only there for guidance and it does not touch the base of the links inside the track.
